Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) continues to be praised for its ability to stimulate the body to grow new, healthy cells and encourage faster healing and rejuvenated tissue. At UpLift Spa, we incorporate the FDA approved Eclipse PRP system which utilizes a patented separator gel technology to isolate platelets, while eliminating the undesirable components such as red blood cells and inflammatory white blood cells. Most of our clients opt to add PRP with their MicroNeedling Treatment to significantly help with skin tightening, acne scars, fine lines and hyperpigmentation. This is sometimes referred to as the “Vampire Facial.”

SO WHAT IS PRP?

It’s a concentrated preparation of platelets, and its associated growth factors, in a small volume of plasma from your own body. It involves a simple blood draw by a trained phlebotomist. By concentrating platelets and growth factors in PRP — the effects can be 5 to 10 times greater than MicroNeedling alone.

Platelets are extremely powerful because they release growth factors that regulate the healing cascade by signaling surrounding cells to repair damaged tissue and regenerate new tissue. You’ll also find that PRP helps speed up the healing process.
