Nail fungus removal laser treatments alleviate a common condition that begins as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail and affects about 10% of the population, both male and female. As the fungal infection goes deeper, nail fungus may cause your nail to discolor, thicken and crumble at the edge. You may have nail fungus if one or more of your nails are:

Thickened
Whitish to yellow-brown discoloration
Brittle, crumbly or ragged
Distorted in shape
A dark color, caused by debris building up under your nail
Slightly foul odor
Nail fungus can affect fingernails, but it’s more common in toenails

Fungal infection of the toenail is called Onychomycosis. It is not uncommon for doctors to prescribe potent anti-fungal drugs to eradicate the fungus but this is not without risk. Many anti-fungal medications can be highly toxic to your liver, bone marrow and nervous system and, quite possibly; their risks do not justify their use for toenail fungus. Their use should be reserved for serious systemic fungal infections of the body. Topical ointments are also common; however, they generally only have a 5% success rate and can take years to work.

Generally 5 treatments are needed, once a week for a total of 5 weeks. Since fungus spreads rapidly, all 10 toes or all 10 fingers are treated. Each treatment takes about 15-20 mins and there will be home care instructions provided to you by your technician.
